Recording Methods

There are four main ways to create your demo with Layerpath:

  1. Chrome Extension - best suited for Web apps and screenflows
  2. Upload from Computer - When you have a video or images and would like to integrate Demo elements
  3. Upload from Library - When you have assets in Layerpath library
  4. Upload Video - When you have a video link from Loom/Youtube to be made into a Demo

When should I call in the Chrome Extension?​

When you're capturing a browser-based web app, go with the Chrome extension—it's fast, rock-solid, and built for interactive web experiences. It works great on any Chromium-based browser (like Chrome, Arc, Edge or Mozilla).

Can I upload content manually?​

Yes, just click on Create Project and any one of the Upload options listed.

You can upload the following to create a Demo:

  • MP4 Videos
  • PDF
  • Full Screen Recording
  • Screenshots
  • Loom export link

You can then edit and customize to your liking just like any other Demo!

Layerpath dynamically adjusts its behavior in response to user input.

Logging Behavior​

Layerpath captures everything:

  • Clicks → Interactive screenshots with hotspots
  • Scrolls & actions → Seamless video playback
