What do I need before I start?​

  • A Layerpath account
  • Access to the product or site you want to demo
  • Optional: the browser extension for easier recording

How do I create my first demo?​

  1. Sign in at layerpath.com
  2. Click 'New Demo'
  3. Record using a Browser extension or through file upload
  4. Pick a type and share with your users:
    • Tour
    • Guide
    • Video

How do Tours, Guides, and Videos differ?​

  • Tour: Click-through walkthrough with hotspots and callouts
  • Guide: Step-by-step instructions with screenshots and text
  • Video: Screen recording with editing

Should I install the browser extension?​

It helps with reliable capture and quick actions. Install it from your browser’s store if you plan to record often.

How do I record?​

  1. Open a valid website that you want to record
  2. Click - "Start Recording"
  3. Perform the actions you want to show
  4. Click Stop when done

How do I edit after recording?​

  • Add steps, titles, and descriptions
  • Place hotspots and annotations
  • Trim clips and adjust timing (for videos)
  • Apply Brand kit for fonts, colors, and logo

How do I add AI Voiceover?​

Open Voiceover, paste your script, pick a voice, then generate. You can preview and re-generate until it fits.

How do I share my demo?​

  • Publish and copy the share link
  • Embed on your site
  • Use a custom domain for a branded URL

How do I track performance?​

Open Analytics to view plays, completion, and engagement. Enable Lead Capture to collect contact details.
