Your account
Sign in with Google, a magic link, or a password. Reset your password, change the name other members see, log out, or delete your Layerpath account.
Sign in or sign up
The sign-in and sign-up pages offer three ways in.
| Method | What to select | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Continue with Google | You sign in with your Google account. | |
| Magic link | Sign in with magic link, or Sign up with magic link on the sign-up page | You'll see "Check your email for a verification link. Check your spam folder too." Open the link in that email. |
| Password | Use password instead, then Sign in with password or Sign up with password | You sign in with your email and password. When you sign up this way, Layerpath emails you a sign-up link. Open it to finish signing up. |
When you sign in to connect ChatGPT or Claude, use Google or a password. The magic link option isn't offered there.
Reset your password
To reset your password:
- On the sign-in page, select Use password instead.
- Select Forgot password? below the password field. You'll see Reset your password.
- Enter your email.
- Select Send reset link. You'll see "Check your mail".
- Open the link in that email. You'll see Reset your password again, with two password fields.
- Enter your new password in both fields. It needs 8 to 72 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character.
- Select Reset Password. You'll see "Password reset", and Layerpath signs you in.
These steps also set a password if you've only used Google or a magic link so far. If the link doesn't work, it may have expired, so start again from Forgot password? on the sign-in page.
Change your name
Other members see this name in the members list and on projects you make.
To change your name:
- Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Select Profile.
- Enter your name in Name. It needs 4 to 20 characters.
- Select Save. You'll see "Profile name updated".
The Email field on Profile can't be edited.
Log out
To log out, select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then select Logout.
Delete your account
Deleting your account deletes every workspace you're the only Owner of, with its projects, and cancels the active subscriptions on those workspaces. Members lose access to those workspaces, and you're removed from every other workspace. You can't undo it.
To delete your account:
- Go to Settings > General.
- Under Danger zone, select Delete account.
- Type your email address to confirm.
- Select Delete account. You'll see "Account deleted", and Layerpath signs you out.
Only Owners and Admins can open Settings. If you're an Editor or Viewer here, open the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar and switch to a workspace you own first.
