Find and manage your projects
Find your projects on Home and in your folders, search, sort, and filter them, then rename, duplicate, move, or delete a project from its card menu.
Where your projects are
| Place | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Home > Recents | Your projects and the ones shared with you, newest first |
| Private, in the sidebar | Your own area. New projects you make start here. |
| General, under Team in the sidebar | Shared with everyone in the workspace, on Pro, Team, and Enterprise |
| A team space, under Team | Shared with that team space's members, on Team and Enterprise |
| Projects, in the sidebar | A full list, in workspaces whose sidebar has this item |
Select a folder in the sidebar to see only its projects. Home > Features holds Layerpath's example projects, not yours.
Search, sort, and filter projects
To find a project by name, type in Search for projects at the top of Home. Above the project cards, these controls change what you see:
| Control | Options | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Sort | Last created, Name A-Z, Name Z-A | Last created |
| Filter | All projects, Published, Unpublished | All projects |
| View | Grid or list | Grid |
A folder's page has the same sort and filter controls.
Rename, duplicate, or move a project
Each project card has a ... menu with Rename, Share, Move to folder, Duplicate, and Delete. Viewers don't see the menu.
| Action | Owners and Admins | Editors |
|---|---|---|
| Rename | Any project | The projects they can edit |
| Duplicate | Any project | Any project |
| Move to a folder | Any project | The projects they made |
Editors can edit the projects they made, the ones made in Slack, and the ones at the top level of a team space or team folder they belong to.
To rename a project:
- On the project's card, open the ... menu.
- Select Rename. You'll see Rename project.
- Enter the new name in Project name.
- Select Rename. You'll see "Project renamed".
To duplicate a project, open its ... menu, select Duplicate, then select Duplicate again to confirm. You'll see "Project duplicated", and the copy opens.
To move a project:
- On the project's card, open the ... menu.
- Select Move to folder. You'll see Move project to folder.
- Select the folder.
- Select Move. You'll see "Project moved to", followed by the folder's name.
To move several projects at once, select the checkbox in the corner of each card, then select Move to folder in the bar that appears. Only Owners and Admins see Move to folder and the checkboxes. Editors move a project they made from the folder name next to the project's name, at the top of the project page.
Share in the same menu opens the Share window. See Share link.
Delete a project
Owners and Admins can delete any project. Editors can delete projects they made.
To delete a project:
- On the project's card, open the ... menu.
- Select Delete. You'll see "Do you wish to delete this project?"
- Select Delete. You'll see "Project deleted".
A deleted project can't be restored, and its walkthrough goes with it. To take a walkthrough offline and keep the project, unpublish it instead. See Share link.
